Going Camping this summer? While nobody forgets to bring along the tent and sleeping bags but if your camping with family, have you ever thought about bringing along a hand powered ice cream maker? Growing up and camping with my family, we always brought along one of these ice cream makers so while other families where roasting smores, our family was eating homemade ice cream.

Although most people think of ice cream makers as being electric, the hand crank models aren't outdated yet. In fact, they have several things going for them that you just don't get with an electric model. First, like I mentioned before, they are extremely portable. No power, no problem, use them at the beach or after church it doesn't matter. Second, the smallest hand cranked model I've seen has a 4 quart capacity. That's a gallon of ice cream which can serve quite a few. And while many people dislike the mess of melting ice and rock salt that you get with the wooden tubs of these ice cream freezers, if you're camping or outdoors, it doesn't really matter. Finally, ice cream made in a hand cranked ice cream machine tastes better... no really! You see, good ice cream, besides getting it's flavor from quality ingredients, is all about how much air you can work into the ice cream mix as it's freezer. An electric motor can't sense when the ice cream mix is freezer but a person can. This means that the person, sensing that the ice cream is freezing, can turn the hand crank faster to work more air into the ice cream and thus better ice cream.

So give a hand powered ice cream maker a try. Besides being portable it can be fun for the whole family to crank out a batch of ice cream together.

The operation of castration entails the surgical removal of both testicles which usually alters the hormonal balance of the dog and can make him more calm. This operation can change his overall tendencies of wanting to mate and often reduces his desire to constantly mark his territory. A common misconception is that neutering makes a dog docile and will not want to guard your property or family, but this surgery does not do reduce the value of your dog as a wonderful protector and household companion.

ESL Games are a great way to teach English as a second language to elementary school aged children. As anyone who has studied a second language knows, repetition is vital for picking up new vocabulary. Children however often do not have the discipline nor the attention spans necessary for repetitious study.

ESL Games on the other hand provide children with a tool to practice repetitious material without boredom. So what kinds of games are good for practicing ESL? Well that depends on a couple of factors. One is class size. Some games are difficult to play with small groups and others difficult with large groups. Your classes previous exposure to the vocabulary is also important because different games give students different levels of autonomy.

Let's look at one game we often use in our school: The Hot Potato Game. The Hot Potato game is a classic children's game that I've adapted for ESL classes. The children play in groups of five and each group gets a hot potato card. The game master starts some music and the child holding the card says one of the vocabulary words before passing the hot potato card to someone else. When the game master yells out hot potato, whoever is holding the hot potato card becomes the penalty person. The penalty person has to answer a question or risk having to do a silly dance. The game is very easy to set up and can go on for as long as the teacher likes.

At any point in your life it's pretty difficult to say that you are going to do something for the rest of your life.  I feel that being vegan is different.  After spending a long time being vegan, I feel that I will be for the rest of my life.   It will have been five years this Fourth of July, and I don't see myself turning back to eating meat or dairy any time soon.  This has become my life and lifestyle.  I feel better than I have any time in my life, and look better.  Maybe its become so second nature that I might be able to make it to the grave without eating another animal.  That would be a great achievement that I would be very proud of.

It is very much recommended to get an Invisalign treatment, especially if you are an adult who want to create a perfect smile. There are no special lamp shades for teens but I suppose there are shades that your teenager will like or put up with and ones that they won't.

Decorating teen bedrooms can be fun or it can be a challenge (not to mention the challenge it is after you get them finished to avoid the room getting further "decorated" with dirty laundry and the dishes from the snacks they take to their room etc, but I digress).

If you want your teenager to be happy with their room they need to like the decor otherwise you'll get no cooperation at all. So they basically need to choose their own stuff with a bit of a helping hand or a few guidelines.

Let them browse around online and at local lighting stores so that you get an idea of what they would like and then make a joint decision based on their likes and your budget.  Maybe they will choose something sensible when it comes to light but teens invariably choose something impractical - like girls will have fairy lights around their bed and guys some flashing neon monstrosity. Just make sure that you also buy a desk lamp along with their choice of lamp shades so they can get their homework done.

Fused glass art is part art, part science, and part magic.  The process begins with sheets of glass that are cut down in to the shapes that you want.  Different molds, that are made out of ceramic or metal, are used to define the shape of the plate, bowl, pendant, etc. that you want.  The kiln is heated up to a specific temperature for the glass that is being used and the mold and glass are laid on to the floor of the kiln.  During the firing process the glass melts and fuses together in the manner that it was laid into kiln.  Temperature of the kiln is very important, and also the speed that it cools off is extremely important.  If it cools too fast, the glass will break.

Exterior lighting is really useful if you want to create any sort of lighting effect outside your property.  There are many uses for exterior lighting but essentially they can be narrowed down to creating a security blanket of light around your home, using the exterior lighting to allow you to see when undertaking certain outdoor activities at night, and finally to create special lighting effects in your garden to enhance your enjoyment of it.

My personal preference for using exterior lights is by using them to create lighting effects in your garden.  You can use uplighters to create interesting light and shadow effects with plants and other garden features.  Or you can use backlighters to create silhouette effects with other plants.  The combination of both types of lighting effect are what I enjoy the most.
