My wife and I just purchased a new house in the Denver area.  Since we have been so busy moving in we haven’t quite had time to get our TV service set up.   Here in Denver, we either have the choice of going with the big cable company, which is Comcast, or one of the satellite companies like Direct TV.  I’ve never had satellite, and the wife isn’t crazy about having a dish hanging off the side of our house, but I think its about time.  The reason I say that is because after comparing Direct TV

to Comcast, the pricing is just so high with cable.  Sure they have a nice deal for the first year, but after that it really jumps up to a ridiculous level.

Everyone is looking to save a dollar or two these days while they still enjoy all the things that they love about technology. One great way to make that happen is to begin looking at refurbished items. You can buy a refurbished TomTom One GPS for a fraction of the cost that you would be paying for a "new" device. The Mac OS X operating system is a fantastic development in how a computer runs.  Many people out there have used a conventional PC running Microsoft Windows, and probably don't know anything other that it.  First reactions with the OS  X operating system are typically surprise and a little confusion.  More often than not they begin to fall in love with the simplicity and common sense ways that many actions are performed.  While it is different, OS X proves that being different can work...really well.  The simply layout of the desktop, with the intelligent zoom bar, provide the optimum starting point.  There is no need to have a multiple icons on your desktop for all your programs, as the programs are all easily accessible by a few clicks.  This lack of clutter might not matter for many, but keeping things neat and organized does wonders for your mental state when using a notebook.  Simple but effective, the Mac OS X operating system may just be a perfect way to run a notebook.

Halloween and Thanksgiving, browns and oranges, purple and yellows; colors are very much associated with fall and can be incorporated into your wedding reception decoration ideas.

Unfortunately, browns are a highly underestimated color for weddings. Brown is an exciting color and is even more beautiful next to ivory or off-white. If you have reds or oranges in your wedding, brown is the best color to compliment them. Brown is softer than black in many ways and can give an austere effect while not feeling to severe.

Fall weddings are a great chance to decorate with small pumpkins and blue corn. A harvest theme can be an incredible way to incorporate western traditions like hayrides, a horse drawn carriage and even western favors for the guests; like cowboy party hats.

Deep yellows and purples can be a beautiful way to decorate your reception hall. Have some dark purple grapes as centerpieces and some yellow flowers floating in purple punch.

Fall weddings don't have to be bland or unexciting. It's the perfect time to be unique.

Russia had a hard time after the collapse of its Communist government in 1991, and the Yeltsin Presidency that followed is widely regarded as a time of chaos by the Russian people.  But today, the Russian Bear is back, and snarling at all and sundry.   It's economy is on an upward trend (although this has been interrupted by the recent global downturn), and it's commands a massive chunk of the world's oil and gas reserves.

All these petro-roubles pouring into the Kremlin's deep pockets, have boosted the confidence of both the Russian people and it's government, and they once again feel like Russia is a major power on the world stage.  Not a superpower perhaps, but still a significant player, and one with growing influence.  This confidence has manifested itself in Russia's dealings with the near abroad, particularly in Georgia, whose military adventure last summer was brutally slapped down by the Russian army's invasion.

Today, there really is no excuse not to be keeping up to date with Russian news if you are a serious follower of world affairs.
