Gable flashing on this log cabin
Gable flashing for log cabins is a relatively new concept. In the past typically above doors, windows, and at the top of a log wall things such as insulation and caulking were used. But when a log ends and another form of construction intersects it there is a chance of water sitting on the logs and damaging them. To prevent this something called "gable flashing" was developed. One of the first uses was in Japan. As some 50 units of a certain log home plan were built the engineers developed this type of specialized flashing to repel the water that was laying on some of the homes. Really quite simple, and now available in brown tones instead of the white shown in this photo, it is a great way to help extend the life of your logs. Log cabin construction is evolving even when the base material is ageless.

Square trampolines have more jumping mat surface. They are best used for recreation and entertainment. The smaller sizes are great for kids, and the square shape often fits better in tight urban yards.
What’s different about square trampolines? The springs are set up in a criss-cross pattern similar to the rectangle shaped trampolines, but there is limited vertical movement in the mat, making the bounce similar to that of the round trampolines. This bounce is tighter because the springs are further away when you are in the mat’s center, where there is less travel. With a square trampoline, there is no “funnel effect-”meaning all the weight does not end up in the middle, no matter what. The weight is equally distributed, even if there is more than one person using it. Also important to note is that the frames on square and rectangle shapes are much sturdier than similar round trampolines, and they are widely considered to be the safest type of trampoline based on geometry alone.
They come in several different sizes, ranging from the small eight foot version made especially for kids to exercise, up to fifteen or twenty foot squares. The smallest size is small enough to put on a patio or deck, and they generally are low to the ground as well. Many of the smaller sizes are also just 24 inches high, another great safety feature for smaller people.
Most square trampolines are of great quality. They have sturdy outdoor fabrics to stand up to the elements, extra heavy-duty springs, and a very strong framing system, as well as thick safety pads.
When considering a trampoline, do not overlook the square versions. While initially more expensive, they can save money in the long run since they will last longer and require fewer parts and less repairs.

I still don't understand the Twitter craze but being in the technology industry, I have to keep up my skills and at least seem to be in the know with all things online. However, I think it is quite embarrassing if you're professing to be an authority and if your boss asks you what is your Twitter name, they find out you have no followers. That's why I need to learn how to find other Twitterers – fast. Twitter has just become so big and you need to be part of it. Every company wants their employees to be able to spread the message via social media to further their cause. So don't be surprised if your boss comes to you as part of their marketing plan on how to find other Twitterers.

There’s much talk lately about energy vending lately in the vending world. Some people say that it’s a good product that sells and others claim it’s just another biz op scam. I’m not going to cover the possible biz op scam angle here but just general practicality. With energy vending, the machines are designed to sell only one product. Isn’t it better for long term growth to have machines that can convert to other products? Of course it is. I also have concerns about buying the energy product; typically it can only be purchased from one place – the company who originates it. This is just looking for trouble, they control pricing and you’re at their mercy. I’m not saying don’t do energy vending, but if you must, make it a small part of your vending business.

There are three main types of dog allergies, skin allergies, food allergies and flea allergies. They can sometimes be very difficult to diagnose because they don’t exhibit as symptoms that you would find consistent with what you would expect from an allergy. Things like diarrhea and vomiting from your dog could be an allergic reaction.
Treatment of your dog’s allergies can sometimes also be very difficult to carry out, particularly if you’re having trouble working out exactly what it was that triggered the allergic reaction. Methods of changing the dog’s environment or removing items from the dog’s immediate surroundings may work as could altering your dog’s diet.
Whatever course of action you choose it should first be discussed with the vet and any action should be carried out under his supervision or direction.
