Char Broil is the oldest as well as the biggest American manufacturer of grills.  Recently, in addition to their regular line of grills, they have entered into the residential infrared grill market.  While manufacturers such as TEC and Solaire do offer infrared grills for consumers, they still tend to be fairly expensive.  Char Broil has been able to produce less expensive models that still are fairly well constructed and offer most of the features that higher end grills do.

The three main Char Broil infrared grill models are Quantum, Heatwave and the Red.  These are all fairly economical models that can be purchased for less than $1,000.  In 2009 Char Broil introduced three new models priced under $450 that can be purchased exclusively at either Lowe's or Home Depot.  Their new Infrared Urban Grill is a small two burner infrared grill retailing for $269.  They also have an Infrared Commercial 3 Burner retailing for $399.  Both of these new grills can be purchased exclusively at Lowe's stores.  Then there is also a new Red model that can be purchased at Home Depot for $449.
