Solar fountains have become popular outdoor accessories partly because they're so easy to set up. Some models have their solar panels built right into the body of the fountain. Other models include larger, separate panels that are installed some feet away from the fountain solar pump, so they can get the most exposure to the sun. Built-in solar panels usually carry very thin PV cells, so there's little capacity to store the electricity created from sunlight. Larger components, however, can include more internal space for energy storage, thus allowing the solar fountain to work even on cloudy days or at night.

There are many other advantages to solar fountains. Because they have no moving parts, they need very little maintenance and make no noise except for the soothing sounds of falling water.

The main market for robotic vacuum cleaners has tended to be in the upper middle classes. This is unfortunate as many lower income households are the ones who need the most help and have the least amount of time to dedicate to simple chores such as hoovering. As with all new technology, when it first comes out the price is high. As the product sells more and production runs increase in size, economies of scale kick in and the price can drop. The classic example of this is the plasma TV.

A lot of people find it difficult to figure out the efficiency in heat retention terms, of the windows that they are considering purchasing.

It may help to know that most window manufacturers use a term called ‘R Value’ to rate their windows.  So what is ‘R Value’?  The ‘R Value’ will describe the resistance that new sash windows for instance,  have to transferring heat inform outside, or out from the interior of the home.

Another measurement that can be used is the ‘U Value’.  This is the converse of the ‘R Value’, in that it measures the tendency of a window to transfer heat in or out.

So it is to your advantage to have new sash windows in your home that have a high ‘R Value’, (highly resistant to allowing heat in or out) and a low ‘U Value’ (do not tend to transfer heat in or out).

My friend of mine who has recently a new found freedom thanks to the fact that she has sold her flat. She has plans to take a sabbatical from work and travel for a few months before buying another place. She says she wants me to help her with her new place, but this time, she says, she wants less modern and more country kitchen style, maybe a leather bar stool, wooden stools, oak stools, kitchen bars made of oak or cherry, a series of saddle stools and chairs stools that will match the antique leather stools she’s going to pick up from her family cottage.

She says she wants to replace her ideas about kitchen dinettes and use bars stools instead. But thankfully I have a few months before she asks my advice about colors – although she’s already mentioned she won’t be going with any red. I guess I better start researching so I know exactly what I'm doing when the time comes.
