A Used Portable Concrete Mixer Can Save You a Bundle

A used portable concrete mixer is easier to use than you might think.  First, add the water.  Before adding the concrete, switch the mixer on. Once up to speed, (it should be pretty instantaneous), add the first bag of concrete. Dust will occur, this is just part of the fun; just remember to keep your mouth shut and turn your head away whilst pouring.

Watch how it mixes; there will most likely be a few clumps of dry mix that just get churned around the drum; mix these in with the water using the shovel. Once thoroughly mixed, add the second bag.

This time, you will need to take a little more time to pour the mix in. Perhaps it could be an idea to invest in a pair of goggles too. Once emptied, add another half gallon of water to the drum, (see those measurements cam in useful after all), and mix well with your shovel until the consistency of oatmeal.
