Rojales in the Costa Blanca
Rojales is a beautiful Spanish traditional farming village. It lies near Guarda Segura just off the southern part of Costa Blanca in Spain, it has a river crossing through it called Segura River, and this river has contributed largely in Rojales history and present day activities. The town unique due to its ability to combine both its tradition and customs with the modern way of life. It is a popular site for vacation homes and villas as well as for permanent settlers in the town. It is a home for 8000 people during the non holiday season but during the holiday season it can even go to 30,000 people.
Rojales town is a classic Spanish town, with an assortment of shops and boutiques, restaurants, bars (Spanish, English and Irish bars), pubs and banks. There’s also a health centre being build and one that is currently operating. There are several small supermarkets and 3 large ones. Rojales Spain has a beautiful church, museum and a village square where people can sit and talk walks Located at its town centre. The town also has several cave houses, and houses built with shells inside and outside. Another beautiful thing about the town is that the river Segura flows through the city, people sit at the banks just to relax in the evening and spend time with friends and family.
The city of Rojales comes alive every Thursday morning when the market beside the segura river opens up, people from all around go to the market to get their supplies such as fresh veggies, fruits, the reason why its so popular is because of the cheap deals and bargains that people can make at the market. There are several very active discos and clubs in Rojales, both locals and tourists go there to have fun on the weekend’s nights till the wee hours.
