Detecting Ovulation Using Your Ovulation Calendar
If you are trying to have a baby, it would be a good idea to use your ovulation calendar to detect when you are actually ovulating each month. There are several signs you can use which become apparent for many women when they are approaching or actually experiencing ovulation. It is helpful to keep track of your symptoms in a journal, or even in your monthly planner, so that you can have a record of what you are feeling and you can look back on it if you need to later on. The first thing you should do is to go online and look up your fertility calendar on one of the major pregnancy or baby websites. You must enter in your menstrual cycle information and then it will automatically tell you which days out of the month are your most fertile days. From there, you can mark down in your planner that fertile window so that you remember to have intercourse on those days to maximize your chances of getting pregnant. The next step is to then look for the external signs that you are approaching or experiencing ovulation.
One of the easiest signs to spot is an increase in cervical fluid. During a woman’s cycle her vaginal fluid will change from creamy and sticky to clear, stretchy and egg-white in texture. Once it becomes more slippery like this a woman is considered to be extremely fertile. It is such an easy thing to check for every day – all you need to do is to remember to look when you go to the bathroom. The method recommended is to wipe and then take the tissue and separate it and if the fluid on the tissue stretches, then it is fertile fluid. If you see it, go have intercourse and hopefully you’ll soon be feeling the early signs of pregnancy.
