Blogs are very important these days because they give insight into the mind of strangers. The Internet is scary that way because it has opened up a playground for the world. People are given a chance to expose themselves to the world, as well as learn about others, and this provides for good data to be studied by Psychology around the globe.

One of the largest groups of blogs these days are about traveling. These blogs are used by almost every person that travels, including me! I have one blog about my daily life in China, but my travel blog is my baby because it has all the information about my travels! I love separating the two so I can have a professional and personal side.

I don’t mind sharing my stories with the world because it gives me the opportunity to connect with many people. I also try to promote travel around the world with my blog because far too often people don’t travel because they are uneducated about how easy it is. My goal is to keep it as a record of my life so my grandchildren won’t be in the dark about what my life was like.

Haluaisitko lentää lomalle vai mennä kenties autolla. Omalla autolla lomalle matkustaminen antaa mukavasti vapauksia itse matkakohteessa. Oman auton tuoma vapaus perillä on mukavaa ja kohteesta saa paljon enemmän irti, kun pääsee vapaasti kulkemaan lähiympäristössä. Miinuspuolena autolla matkustaettassa on itse matkan tekeminen eli se kuinka päästään itse lomakohteeseen. Autolla pitkien matkojen tekeminen ei välttämättä ole niin mukavaa, koska varsinkin pitkillä matkoilla matka-aika venyy helposti liian pitkäksi. Lentokoneella taituu pitkätkin matkat todella nopeasti ja vaivattomasti. Valitettavasti itse paikan päällä ei sitten ole oikein mitään mahdollisuuksia liikkua ympäristössä. Monessa maassa julkiset eivät kovin hyvin kulje, mutta taksilla pääsee hyvin kulkemaan matkakohteissa ja yleensä vielä paljon halvemmalla kuin kotimaassa. Matkustit sitten lentäen tai autolla, on halpoja matkoja tilatessa tärkeintä olla tyytyväinen itse lomakohteeseen. Se millä sinne lomalle pääsee on loppujen lopuksi aivan sama, kunhan sinne matkalle vain pääsee.

One of the top vacation destinations in France is the Languedoc region of France. This fantastic area in the south curves around the Mediterranean sea from the edge of Provence to the border with Spain. There's so much to see and do but you might be surprised to learn that one of the top activities is Skiing!

Yes, despite having one of the warmest climates in the South of France, once you get down to the southerly tip, within the Pyrenees Orientales department of this region, and head inland from the coast for a couple of hours, you suddenly find yourself in the Pyrenees mountains and low and behold... snow.

Skiing in the Pyrenees is a bit of a French secret. Everybody knows about the great skiing in the Alps but are less aware of the very family friendly slopes in the Languedoc that are much much cheaper to visit. Truthfully the slopes are not of the same standard as they are in the Alps but they still offer a great experience for beginners and intermediate skiers and the prices really are very cheap. It's worth checking the snow reports because some years the snow fall has been disappointing although 2008/09 was excellent. The two best airports for access to the slopes are Carcassonne and Perpignan.

If you really enjoy the sport of fly fishing, you know doubt are looking for some of the best fly fishing locations that are in your area.  Although it can be a bit difficult to find some that are not a little bit spoiled, there are no doubt going to be some that are well within your reach which can offer you pristine location in a relatively unspoiled environment.  How can you find these?

First of all, you should understand that you are rarely ever going to find good fly fishing locations by speaking to other people that enjoy the sport.  As a matter of fact, once you find one of these locations for yourself, you will no doubt want to keep it to yourself.  That is why it is necessary for you to do a little bit of searching on your own and discover your own areas.  How can you do this?

One of the easiest ways that I found to do this was by looking at satellite maps.  These are relatively easy to find on the Internet and you can even download a program from Google which will allow you to look at your terrain through the eyes of a satellite.  Look for hidden ponds and streams that are not far off of the road but are somewhat hidden from view.  You would probably be surprised to find that you pass many of these areas on a regular basis.  These are often some of the best fly fishing locations that you can find and once you get permission from the property owner, you can enjoy this little secret, all to yourself.

The weekend is here, the weather is nice, and I am ready to go fishing! Tomorrow I am going to take my boys to a local lake (Joe Pool Lake in Texas) and see what we can catch. I have not had the boat out yet this year so I am really looking forward to some time out on the water.

We went to Joe Pool a few times last year. It is really convenient to get down there. That is both a good and bad thing. It is also easy to get to for a few million other people that live in the Metroplex. Once you are out on the water it is nice but to do what I am going to tomorrow, arrive at the lake on an early Sunday morning, there can be a bit of a traffic jam at the boatramp.

However that goes, it should be a good day overall!
