Comparing Small Travel Printers
There are a few key things to consider when comparing small travel printers.
- Quality – The quality of your printer depends largely on the dots-per-inch (DPI) of the printer. A good rule of thumb for travel printers is 600 dpi for black and 2400 dpi for color printing.
- Weight – A travel printer that weighs in at more than 5 pounds can be a little hefty for many travelers. Several models weigh less than five pounds.
- Capacity – Check to see how many pages your travel printer is able to print on a single cartridge. Some models will accept oversize black cartridges that carry enough ink to print as many as twice the documents of some standard cartridges.
Considering these three keys will help you get the most out of your purchase when considering small travel printers.
