Curved Curtain Rods
If you have a funny shaped window frame, such as a bay window design, then curved curtain rods are what you need. They are specially designed to fit these windows, and allow the curtains to run along the track and come together perfectly. You may think they are made from steel or other metals, but you can purchase wooden kinds as well.
The reason is that wood can be shaped into almost any form, and the varnished effect will go with most color schemes in the home. Adding matching tie backs and brackets finshes the look, and these can be curved as well. The finials are the finishing touch, and are usually the most elaborate part of the package. They also serve the purpose of keeping the curtains in place at either end.
