How Often Should You Add Chemicals To Your Hot Tub
This is a question I hear from most of my customers. And it really depends, but your hot tub should be checked at least once a week to ensure that all your chemicals are at the right levels. And when I say once a week I mean take it to a hot tub dealer or spa retailer and get it tested professionally. As an owner you should check your hot tubs chemicals at least once every other day by using test strips. You only need to check to make sure you pH, alkalinity and which ever sanitizer you use is at the proper levels. From there you will probably add shock and your sanitizer at least once a week again depending on what kind you use. Make sure to consult your hot tub dealer because adding any chemicals to your spa.
