The most common method for getting rid of blackheads is to squeeze them gently. When doing this be careful to not squeeze too hard; you should not cause discomfort or pain. By squeezing the blackhead, you are removing the oil, dirt and bacteria that is found inside. Use a mild soap and scrub - it does not matter which brand or type you use. Find the one that works the best for you. Use the soap and scrub to remove dead cells on the skin, which will allow the blackhead to be exposed. Gently pat your face dry. Do not rub the face roughly because it can cause irritation. Place a warm compress on your face for at least 10-15 minutes. This will soften the blackhead which will allow removal to be much easier. Pat your face dry once again, remembering not to be too rough. Place a soft piece of tissue or toilet paper on the tip of your finger, in order to avoid the tissue from slipping. Skin can be torn and damaged further if your finger slips from the tissue. Apply gentle pressure to both sides of the blackhead, push down and up around the blemish. By doing this you are trying to apply pressure underneath the blackhead.
