Save Money With a Portable AC Unit

Cooling costs during the summer are the largest chunk of your utility bill.  Central AC units are energy hogs.  There has to be a better way, right?  Of course there is, and I'm sure you know since you've already read the title of this post!  Portable air conditioners work very efficiently because they only cool the areas you want them to, rather than the whole house.  If you're hot in the living room, why are you cooling the bathroom?

The other major expense with central air units is their purchase and installation.  Thousands of dollars can be spent just on installation alone, and that cost will skyrocket if custom work needs to be done to run the vents.  Cooling unused rooms is like piling money in the corner of each one.  Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!
