Security Cameras With Intelligent Video
Some advanced security cameras come with intelligent alarm systems to help protect the security camera and the surveillance system. Sometimes known as intelligent video, depending on the manufacturer offering the feature, it can detect when the camera is being tampered with or if the security camera’s view has been redirected or obscured. Whenever there is a change in the camera’s normal operating conditions, an alert is sent to the operators. This is particularly useful for security systems that incorporate many cameras and it goes a long way to track when cameras are not operating properly.
Sometimes the alert is not always due to a malicious attack on the camera. A curious animal could unknowingly set off the alarm by tampering with the camera or a flying piece of loose cloth could get tangled over the camera and obstruct the view. An expensive security camera or system of cameras that is not constantly monitored live by a human would benefit from the protection and management help an intelligent video system offers.
