Setting up a Scrapbooking Room

Your scrapbooking room can be a very special place.  Setting it up properly can make all the difference in the world when you are scrapping.  Here are a few ideas to help you plan your new room.
Storage:  In order to keep your room from becoming a disorganized mess, you will need proper storage for your supplies.  Plan for lots of storage.  Paper drawers, ribbon rollers, embellishment hubbies are all essential items and should be incorporated into your scrapbook room.
Work Space:  You need a BIG work space.  There is nothing worse than trying to visualize a new layout without having all your pieces in front of you to mix and match.  You might even plan to have two large flat work spaces so that you can leave a layout to dry while working on another one.
Light:  You must have good lighting and lots of it.  The best is natural light either from windows or skylights, but if you don't have that available, you should consider full spectrum lighting.  You might also provide spotlights to light up your work area.  Nothing is worse than doing a full layout, bringing it out into natural light a finding that the colours do not match the way you planned.
Set up your scrapbooking room correctly at the beginning and it will provide you with an enjoyable space for many years to come.
