One of the best tips on acne skin care is to simply wash your face regularly and drink lots of water. This may seem like too simple of a solution for such a big problem but it works. Many companies will make you believe that it takes a lot of products and a lot of money to keep your face clear. This is untrue. It's true that some products will help you in keeping your face clean but for the most part, as long as you get plenty of fluids in your body and make sure you rub the dirt off of your face every night, you should be okay. For people with more serious problems, other acne products may be needed as well to help treat the problem.

When a pimple pops up only days before a huge event, it can be a tragic experience. Whether it be an important presentation at work, or your high school prom, nobody wants to be remembered for the giant zit they had during this occasion. If this has happened to you, then I'm sure you are looking for answers on how to get rid of pimples fast.
The first thing you need to remember is: DO NOT POP THE PIMPLE. This will almost always backfire, and could potentially leave you with a scar that will last a life time. Popping it will just make the area red and irritated, making it much more noticeable than it was before. Toothpaste, sea salt, and tea tree oil have all been said to be effective spot treatments that can be easily applied in a pinch. If you choose to go the toothpaste route be very careful not to apply too much or leave it on for too long. This can really dry out your skin, and the skin flakes can be very hard to cover up.
Many claim that applying some sea salt water to the affected area for a few minutes, and then following it up with tea tree oil works the best for getting rid of a pimple fast.

Using a sulfur acne medication will ensure that the skin is dried out sufficiently to make it difficult for the conditions in which acne prefers to occur. In other words the potential for blocked pores becoming infected and filled with pus is decreased.
The only problem with using sulfur-based products to treat acne is that it can be a little harsh on the skin. You commonly experience peeling skin and it will feel uncomfortable after the cream or ointment has been applied. If this doesn’t really bother you that much then using sulfur on your face will help in your treatment of any new acne outbreaks.
The only precaution you should acknowledge is that it is unadvisable to use a sulfur product in conjunction with other acne medications. The reason is that the combination could result in your skin becoming too dry.

Benzoyl peroxide is known be a potent radical initiator; meaning, it plays a vital role in the production of radical species and the promotion of radical polymerization. This chemical is most popular for the treatment of acne. Most people depend on products made from benzoyl peroxide since the 1920s. Always in gel or cream forms, they are easy to apply on affected areas. Especially for acne medication, medical research suggests that five to ten percent concentrations are better and more effective than the usual 2.5% which is usually the most tolerable. Even internationally-renowned beauty products depend on such chemical for their manufacturing. Acne cases that are mild to moderate is curable by using cleansers, gels, and creams made from this substance, while those that are already in chronic stages are recommended to seek help of doctors. That is why benzoyl peroxide acne treatments are so common.

Unfortunately things we do in our everyday life increase our chances of acne. Take these points and think about how they relate to your daily routine and you can help ease your acne outbreaks which will reduce your chances of more serious treatments such as acne scar removal.
- Touch Your Face - When a person touches their face they transfer whatever oils, dirt, or debris that is on their fingertips to their face in higher concentrations then naturally occurs. The oils will flow into the pores carrying the debris which will lodge in the poor. As the body tries to remove the debris it will cause inflammation leading to acne outbreaks. Just a good habit to not touch your face with your fingers.
- Oily Hair - If you only wash your hair once a week the increased oil levels in your hair, though leaving your hair shinier, will also transfer to your face and neck causing more acne and pimples.
- Stress - When a person stresses they produce extra adrenaline which also increases the inflammation in the skin that leads to acne issues. Keeping yourself calm, dealing with small problems without dwelling on them, and avoiding people who add drama to your life will actually improve your skin.

Many people have used, or heard of at the very least, miro-dermabrasion; this procedure is so common in fact that it has earned the nickname, the 'lunch hour' treatment. While this is true of micro-derm, it is not true of dermabrasion, which is the focus of this post. The difference between the two is that micro-derm is for very light scarring and dermabrasion is for very severe scarring. In addition to this, dermabrasion typically has a much longer healing time, and it has to be done in a doctor's office by a trained medical professional. If you would like to learn more about this, visit my hub learn how to get rid of acne scars.

If you suffer from flareups of pimples, you're not alone. Controlling acne is a common issue, not only with teens but also for many adults. Although eating a healthy diet and practicing good skin hygiene are a basic first-line strategy, most people who suffer from acne find that these low-tech approaches don't give them the clear skin they want. As a result, they try harder by cutting more and more foods out of their diet (including healthy fats) and scrubbing their faces to the point of irritation. Ultimately, these approaches can make acne worse. If you have a stubborn case of acne, take the smart approach and consult a dermatologist. Medications have improved greatly in the past decade and you may find that a prescription from a medical specialist is just the ticket to help you achieve clear skin.
