We are now out of the naughties and into the teenies, so what new technological gadgets can we expect to see in the near future. For a start there will soon be the release of a new Amazon Kindle 4 reader coming out within a year or so. On top of this an Apple iPad 2 in 2011 is pretty much guaranteed. In fact it is the iPad 2 that will be released before the next version of the Amazon hand held reading device. So are these just marketing ploys or will these new versions of these products offer consumers something substantially better than before?

On one hand we shall have to wait to see just what features are included with these new products. However, on the other, there is already quite a bit of information out there in the public domain telling us what they are probably going to offer. Since the iPad 2 may well be out in the first half of 2011, there is more definitive information about its features. This new model is going to run slightly faster and should provide a  smoother user experience. Something that might not be all that exciting but will mean that it is an improvement on the first iPad is that its firmware will be upgraded. A visible improvement is that it will also include a camera. How easy this will be to use is another matter.

As for the Kindle, this is still a long way off. Realistically we will not be seeing a new electronic reader from Amazon until round about the Christmas period. At the earliest, it will be about 10 months away. This still means that if you want the best hand held reading system available today then you should really get yourself a 3rd generation Kindle. As far as then 4th generation version is concerned, it could well feature a color screen. This is why people are already getting so excited about it.

Well folks it's that time of year again when parents fight it out at your local department store for the hottest toy of the year. If you don't get it you'll have one sad little kid on Christmas morning! If you do get it you feel a million bucks. So what are the hottest Christmas toys of 2009? The big one this year is DJ Hero which is a follow up to last years smash hit Guitar Hero. It works much the same way as Guitar Hero except you use decks and a mixer to play along with the console game. It's available for all three major platforms, X BOX 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. It's also available for Playstation 2 if anyone out there is still using that! The makers have signed up some big name acts to promote it. You may have seen Eminem and Jay-Z on the TV commercials, along side these guys is Gwen Stefani, The Killers are a load more big name musical acts. Guitar Hero 5 is also out this year for those of you still obsessed with rocking out. Hey DJ Hero isn't for everyone! I'm sure you've heard of that little movie called Twilight that's been doing the rounds recently. Well the makers of Barbie have a movie tie in with them to produce Twilight Barbies. How cool is that? Amazon have also launched their Kindle which can be used to read all types of books, magazines and newspapers all a the touch of a button. Ideal for all you commuters out there. It also has an internet connection so you can download new content no matter where you are.
