Understanding Your Sensory Acuities

If you’re delving into neuro linguistic programming for dummies, you may want to start by identifying your own personal sensory acuities.  These are the unique modalities you use to interact with the world at large.  Many people, when asked to recreate or remember an event in their minds, resort to tried and true models to describe the event.  Some use a primarily visual approach, describing colors or shape, while others stay closer to kinesthetic interfaces, where experiences are felt, rather than pictured.  Any modality is suitable and yours is your own special programming language.  Play around with describing old memories to friends and strangers.  Notice the words and acuities you stick to.  Looked like, the sound of, felt sticky… etc.  These are descriptive modalities you can use to interact with your brain through nlp.  Identifying them is your first (important) step.
