Advice On Getting Rid of Blackhead Scars
Everyone deals with acne and blackheads at some point in their lives, but every person is left with different types of scarring. Acne scarring must be addressed on a case-by-case basis and this list is by no means complete in how to get rid of blackhead scars. Removing scars is a complex process and multiple treatments are often required, but it sure beats having to apply makeup every day to hide the visible marks.
Natural Remedy
Crush an aspirin and mix it with a drop of water to create a paste. Apply the paste to the scar and leave it for ten minutes, then wash it off. This should remove the outer layer of damaged skin.
Next, soak a cotton ball in fresh lemon juice and apply to the same area. Leave the juice on for twenty minutes and this should lighten the dark marks on the nose.
Finally, put a small amount of Aloe Vera on the nose after cleaning the nose with warm water. Aloe Vera gel lightens scars and heals the skin.
Subcision
This is the process of treating scars left behind by acne. Subcision involves separating the affected skin tissue from the deeper scar tissue. This allows the skin to level itself out. Once completed, other treatments such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels and microdermabrasion can be used to further smooth the skin. Subcision has garnered mostly favorable reviews from people who've had it done.
Be Careful
Be wary of home remedies that can potentially worsen your scar. It's your nose; a part of you that's seen very frequently. You don't want to accidentally cause severe damage. If you've tried everything within your budget and want to move on to more drastic measure, have patience and remember that scars fade with time.
Lastly, do your research. There are many old wives tales about acne, acne scarring and bogus remedies that can be harmful. If your mother says it's true because her mother says it's true, it's probably not true.
