Vegetable Centerpieces
As a bride, you want your big day to be memorable, not just for you but for your guests as well. A great way to make sure your wedding is the talk of the town is by adding a memorable centerpiece to all your reception tables. In this article, I’m going to share with you one of the many ways to add color and creativity to your wedding reception centerpieces and insure that everyone remembers your wedding.
Vegetable Centerpieces
I know what you are thinking, “My wedding is a formal occasion, I cannot use vegetables!” If you plan and are creative, vegetables can look just as gorgeous as any floral arrangement.
This vegetable centerpiece is simple and will create a memorable and natural looking table setting. To start, buy a few bundles of fresh asparagus, enough votive candles for your tables, and some ribbon in the color of your wedding. Cut the asparagus to an even length. The asparagus should be just a bit longer that your candle. Using a hot glue gun, glue the asparagus to the votive candles, making sure the asparagus is flush with the table. When you are finished, cut the ribbon and tie a simple bow around your asparagus. Viola! Your centerpiece is complete.
If you have something against asparagus, you could also use fresh green beans or red chili peppers. To add a bit more eye appeal consider adding flower buds around the arrangement. The colors “pop” and you have a great looking vegetable centerpiece.
Centerpieces for weddings don’t have to be traditional, sometimes adding beauty and character in decorating requires one to “think outside the box.” If you create using an open mind you can even make vegetables beautiful.
