Why You Must Exercise To Stay Healthy

There are a lot of people that exercise solely because they want to lose some weight. Now this is a great way to spend calories but that isn’t why you should exercise. Training with exercise equipment or training by running or attending different types of sport should be done because you will build muscle mass as well as stamina and a feeling of wellbeing. When you are building muscle mass you will increase your metabolism as muscles are where the excess fat in the body is being burned. Without muscles the body can’t burn the fat and when it isn’t burned it will be stored. Fat can’t burn fat so if you are overweight and want to lose weight you must workout to build muscles in your body that can help you increase your metabolism.

It’s Time for the Latest Gadget – The Ab King Pro

2008.11.24 - Things you don't believe when you're 16
Creative Commons License photo credit: a.drian

I guess it's that time again... every three to four months, someone comes out with the latest greatest little contraption to get you into perfect shape without doing very much work.  This time it's something called the Ab King Pro.

This has been selling all around the world and is just now coming to the United States.  Whether you've seen it or not, I figured it was time I did my Ab King Pro Review.  I'm not one to hold any punches on these types of things, so hopefully you're not offended by what I'm about to say.

First of all, you gotta sweat like an athlete sweats if you're going to have a body like an athlete has.  That's just the rock bottom truth about the matter.  Like so many other products sold through infomercials, the makers of the Ab King Pro want you to think it's as easy as watching a football game on a lazy Sunday afternoon.  Truth is, it's not.  That's good, because that means it might actually be doing something for your figure.  Unfortunately, the infomercial makes it look like its easy.

This is gym quality equipment and it probably won't withstand too much in the way of stress and strain.  I'm not saying it's junk, but isn't what you're used to using at the local fitness center.

Can you benefit from using the Ab King Pro? Of course you can and it might be a fun way to mix in some new exercises to an already intense routine.  But, it's not going to be the magic road to rock hard abs.  If this disappoints you... sorry!

Golf Buggies Make The Game Bearable

I don't know about you but playing golf is a bit of a bore to me. I only go out for a round because I like to go for a drink after the round with my friends. I put up with two hours of walking around a muddy field hitting small balls at holes embedded in the ground with a metal stick. Sometimes I think I'm mad but when all is said and done I do enjoy the company and I suppose it gets me out the house.

I have to say though that I'm enjoying my golf much more since I started to hire a golf buggy to get round the course. Golf buggies are great for a few reasons, most importantly they mean you don't have to do any exercise, but the also keep the rain off you and they can be good fun when you get them up to full speed over the bumps. I'm actually thinking about buying a golf buggy of my own as I can see myself playing a bit more golf now that I have discovered the joys of using one.

A Full Motion Rower from Spartan Sports

The Spartan Sports Full Motion Rower is a good basic rowing machine that will give you an intense full body workout without taking up a lot of space in your home. The frame is made from steel and is very durable. The arms have dual pivot points so your rowing motion is comfortable and natural to your body size and strength limitations. And it has a digital electronic monitor so you can track your workout stats. Online product reviews state this is a much quieter model than other machines in its price range, and at just under $200 it's an economical choice. The only complaints seem to be that the assembly instructions are inadequate, and the weight capacity tops out at 220 pounds, making it unsuited for larger users. All in all, a pretty solid exercise machine.
