Searching for profitable keywords for new Google Adsense blogs can be a time consuming nightmare for some people. There is too much competition for normal one or two word keywords and a lot of the long tails have no earning potential. So where do you go to get your best keywords?

Try watching some television, especially news programs. These will have the latest stories on people, entertainment, and fashion, and some of them might even be really fresh new keywords that have no competition like those who bought swine flu or Adam Lambert domains.

Another good source is looking at the websites your family and friends visit. People around you are the perfect test markets as they represent what people are searching for on the Internet. Most of my new ideas come from just listening to the people around me.
