Fake Security System Cameras

The title is almost enough to make you laugh, but if you are on a tight budget there are a few reasons why a fake security camera is a better defense against prowlers than nothing at all.

These artificial cameras are usually just a hollow shell, but they do a pretty good job of convincing people they are real. Some of them come with a motion sensor device that turns on at the first detection of movement giving the burglar the idea that he is being videotaped.

Even if you choose a fake camera without the added bonus of motion sensory, nearly every one of them come with the blinking light giving the appearance that the camera is on and recording. This is sometimes enough to deter thieves.

Just having the camera in plain view during the day is an added bonus. Simply mount the camera in plain view so everyone passing by your house gets the idea that you mean business. No burglar wants to get caught so having a fake camera is better than having nothing at all.
