to Australia? Having lived here all my life I can safely say that it is an awesome place to live. The most famous city in Australia is Sydney located in the state of New South Wales.

Sydney was the first city of Australia, settled in the late 18th century. It was chosen due to it's location in a large bay, making it easy for ships to anchor while transferring people and goods. These days Sydney is a thriving metropolis and an international hub of activity.

The two most common landmarks of Sydney are the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Opera House is home to visiting musicians and performances from around the world. It's distinctive shape cuts a beautiful line across the Sydney sky. The Harbour Bridge is one of the cities greatest tourist attractions. It is possible to take a tour up the bridge to it's highest point, the view of the harbour and the city is simply breathtaking.
