The Interval treadmill workouts are high intensity workouts which are immediately followed by a short recovery period. Workouts are done to make your body push harder as it adapts to different routines in your training. However, there is still a recovery period to allow your body to replenish its strength. The goal is to gain a shorter period for recovery in every cycle of workout routines.
What a nice way to start off with some warm up exercises like walking or slow-paced jogging to set the tone. It is vital to loosen up your muscles and keep them firm before doing the workout. Going to the whole workout immediately will only cause you to have injuries which can be horridly painful Warm up exercises should be done at a slow speed.
The base speed on your warm up phase will be the speed that you will go back to for your recovery periods. Once you have decided on your base speed, you can gradually increase it every 2 minutes. For example your initial speed is 4mph for warm ups then you've decided to go for 5mph for your base speed. Then after working out for an hour with your initial speed, you go back to your recovery period and then after 1 minute increase the former speed by 0.5mph. Increasing your speed at 0.5mph every after 1 minute of recovery period should be done.
Setting an interval in treadmill interval training depends on the experience of the user. For novices, they usually start off at 1 minute interval. Others usually have it at 30 seconds while those at the more advanced level go for 2 minutes interval. It doesn't really matter much as long as you keep your recovery period as short as possible. You can notice that in the long run as your body adapts to this type of workout, it can work harder with shorter recover periods and the shorter time your body needs for recovering means the fitter you become.

A treadmill will allow you to easily go for a run whenever you want. This is a great idea because a lot of people do not like running around and exercising outside, they would rather do it in their basement or some place more private.
Try to fit a 30 minute run into your schedule almost everyday. You do not have to run everyday but try to get at least every second day. Its important to push yourself but its also important that you let your body rest significantly and that you get a good nights sleep.
So if your thinking of losing some weight, try buying a treadmill and start running on it. Within at least a week or two you should start to see results and it only gets better from there.

I just bought a treadmill about five months ago and since it was not bough from the country I live in I am having problems with the warranty issues. There is no company that imports them so it is almost impossible for me to get it fixed. The issue with the treadmill is that the belt keeps on sliding horisontally. It moves from side to side while I am running on the treadmill. Eventually it always falls off the rolls that keep the belt rotating and that has already caused me some accidents. It is a model that is open from the other end and I have tried to put something that will prevent the belt from slipping off the treadmill. This has got to be the last time I am buying treadmill fitness equipment from any other place than my local retailer.
